Kite Building Class
Cost: $25 or $50
Class size: There are enough materials for 6 individuals to participate in this workshop.
You will be able to build one of two kite designs. One is a simple "sled" style kite and the others is a little bit more complex - but totally do-able! - "box" kite.
The sled kite is $25 to build and the box kite is $50 to build. Plan about an hour to build your sled kite and about 2-3 hours for the box kite.
There are many wind powered sports! A lot can be learned from harnessing the strength of the wind: from surfing, to sailing or kite-powered buggies. When you start talking about the possibilities of kite powered sports - the sky really IS the limit! Kids and adults alike are welcome and encouraged to participate.
*participants under the age of 10 will need assistance building the box kite.
